Community Standards

Treat other members with dignity and respect, even when you strongly disagree.

Harassment, bullying, hate speech, discrimination, threats, intimidation, humiliating behaviour, and repeated unwanted contact are not allowed.

You may question an idea, challenge an argument, or express a different point of view. Focus on what was said rather than attacking the person who said it.

Do not deliberately derail, dominate, or flood a conversation in a way that stops other people from taking part.

If someone asks you to stop contacting them, stop. Do not use another account, shared room, invitation, or another person to avoid a block or continue unwanted contact.

You may use a display name, but you must not mislead members about who you are or why you are contacting them.

• Do not impersonate another person, organisation, or public figure.
• Do not create fake or coordinated accounts to deceive people or avoid enforcement.
• Do not misrepresent your identity, qualifications, intentions, or relationship to another person.
• Do not use fabricated stories or false context to manipulate or exploit someone.

Do not use edited, synthetic, or AI-generated material to impersonate someone, fabricate evidence, or deliberately deceive members.

Do not share another person's private or sensitive information without permission.

This includes home addresses, exact locations, phone numbers, private email addresses, financial details, passwords, verification codes, government documents, and private medical, work, family, or relationship information.

Do not copy or share content from a private room or Direct Message without permission, except when reporting a genuine safety concern to OpenWeeknight or an appropriate authority.

The following are not allowed:

• Sexual exploitation, grooming, or sexual content involving minors
• Unwanted sexual messages, images, or advances
• Explicit sexual content in public rooms
• Sending sexual content to someone who has not clearly agreed to receive it
• Non-consensual intimate content or threats to share it
• Extortion, blackmail, trafficking, or other exploitative behaviour

Do not post graphic violence to shock, threaten, or glorify harm. Do not threaten violence or encourage another person to harm themselves or someone else.

Supportive conversations about mental health, difficult experiences, and recovery are welcome.

Do not encourage, instruct, celebrate, or pressure another person to harm themselves.

Do not use OpenWeeknight to arrange, encourage, or promote fraud, violence, trafficking, terrorism, child exploitation, illegal weapons, controlled substances, dangerous goods, or other serious wrongdoing.

OpenWeeknight must not be used to deceive, manipulate, or financially exploit another person.

• Investment, cryptocurrency, or financial scams
• Romance scams or manufactured emergencies
• Fake jobs, housing, or business opportunities
• Pyramid, multi-level marketing, or recruitment schemes
• Requests for money based on deception, pressure, or impersonation

Do not send malicious links, spread malware, steal login details, or attempt to access another person's account, device, or private information without permission.

• Do not send mass or repetitive messages.
• Do not flood rooms or deliberately disrupt conversations.
• Do not repeatedly promote products, services, referral links, or unrelated groups.
• Do not use bots, scripts, automated accounts, or AI tools to generate spam.
• Do not manipulate reports, reactions, member counts, or conversation activity.

Public conversations may be seen by many members and opened through shared links. Post only what you are comfortable discussing in that setting.

Private rooms and Direct Messages limit access through OpenWeeknight, but another participant can still copy, screenshot, or share what they see.

Private access does not make behaviour acceptable if it would break these standards elsewhere on OpenWeeknight.

Room owners and moderators are expected to use their tools responsibly and help keep their rooms focused on genuine conversation.

• Use an accurate and appropriate name, description, category, and access setting.
• Do not use misleading, hateful, sexual, or exploitative room details.
• Use invitations, join requests, and member controls responsibly.
• Report serious rule-breaking instead of encouraging retaliation.

Owners and moderators must not use room tools to punish disagreement, unfairly favour friends, or target members.

Room owners and moderators do not speak for OpenWeeknight and cannot override these Community Standards.

Respect each member's privacy settings and boundaries. Do not use Direct Messages to pressure, harass, deceive, or continue unwanted contact.

These standards apply to everything you create, upload, send, or share on OpenWeeknight.

This includes messages, replies, reactions, polls, photos, profiles, usernames, display names, room names and descriptions, Room Rules, invitations, join requests, and shared links.

Do not use any feature to harass, deceive, pressure, expose, spam, or harm another person.

Report a message, member, room, invitation, or conversation when you believe it may break these standards.

Provide accurate information and useful context. False, malicious, or retaliatory reports may themselves break these standards.

The action taken depends on the seriousness, context, and history of the behaviour.

OpenWeeknight may:

• Remove or limit access to content
• Restrict access to a room, conversation, Direct Message, or feature
• Remove or close a room
• Issue a warning
• Temporarily suspend an account
• Permanently remove an account
• Keep or share relevant information when necessary for safety, an investigation, or the law
